How registration usually works
Check the dates on the centre's page and note when registration opens.
Register online or by email as soon as it opens: seats go first come, first served.
Have a valid passport or photo ID ready: centres ask for identity documents at registration and on the test day.
Pay the fee and keep the receipt; fees are generally non-refundable.
Arrive early on the day with the same passport. Results usually arrive within two to eight weeks, depending on the centre.
TCF Canada or TEF Canada?
Both are accepted by IRCC and use the same NCLC scale. In India the choice often depends on the city: the TCF Canada is offered in fewer centres, the TEF Canada in more. Pick the test with the earliest date near you, then practise in its format.
